Dont sell it. It will serve as UR 2nd body or back-up. As 4 me I will not sell my D 40 if I upgrade. My kid is showing signs of an inclination to photography

Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

hi guys. i recently purchased this wonderful lens and am wondering if you use any cpl or uv filters? i wanted to use a slim cpl but am afraid that i might get uneven skies. did you guys encounter this? or at least i wanted to attach a uv filter just for protection. what do you guys think? TIA.

I both use a generic UV and Hoya CPL filter on this lens. Try to use the thinnest filter with this vignettes so you can use it @ 10mm, otherwise you'd have to zoom in (kinda defeats the purpose of buying it).

I occasionally get uneven polarized sky with some parts having a darker shade of blue but I like the effect.

Give it to the better half bro.. Then as a couple, shoot pretty models!. That should make your day

How much is that lens? Sigma 10-20? Is that the fastest @ f/4-5.6?

Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

thanks nat. i finally bought a thin uv filter for this lens. i guess that's all i need to protect it. i also bought that and a cokin gnd2 last photo summit in greenhills. with the uv filter attached, the cokin wide angle holder causes vignettes

Yup, I get the same effect when I stack 2 filters (threaded or square). You can try zooming in to 12mm to minimize vignetting caused by stacked filters.

Re: Sigma 10-20mm f/4-5.6 EX DG HSM DC

i bought this lens for 23k sa mayers. sulit ba un? met mang ramon too!

masaya gamitin. parang laruan! haha pero i discovered that the long barrel creates shadows using my built in flash sa 450d. should i buy an external flash? mura ba un? how much?

or should i just turn my camera upside down? to eliminate shadows. which is mahirap naman,.
