TFS, I thought there are only a few but it turns out that there are many compatible lenses for the d40 after all

may VR type lens din ba ang sigma for D40?

how about other brands like tamron? (tama ba?) sorry newbie here...
just want to get an idea of lens options before deciding if D40 is the unit for me

Sigma 80-400 O.S. (similar to VR)

i believe all tamron lenses doesnt have internal motor, it won't auto focus on D40.

how about tokina? I know Sigma's HSM will auto focus. thanks.

tokina doesn't have focus motors in the lenses. yet.

Actually all the AF-S (and AF-I) lenses are compatible with Nikon D40.
