Re: Pangasinan's Hidden Vistas

If you explore further north along the west coast of Pangasinan you will see some interesting rock formations and cliffs.

Timapog na Bato
Brgy Ilio-ilio, Burgos

"Timapog na Bato" loosely translates to "a rock that moved to the sea". This rock formation became a favorite respite from the summer heat for folks from the town of Burgos.
The rocks provide a very cool shade.

Tower by the Sea

The area in front of the rock formation is also a good snorkeling site.

Allan,

The beaches are very beautiful and also not to forget the pictures too. I would love to visit this place when I will be in the north.

Thanks for posting.

Thanks Rey! Pangasinan's west coast has more to offer the traveler who prefers destinations off the beaten path.

Wonderful photos Allan! I especially liked the colors here, very tropical. Dami pa talaga magagandang off-beat beaches. These are most on the western parts right. I like those towering rocks. Nice photos and discovery!

You are absolutely correct bai! There are still lots of undiscovered scenic places there. What I did was to explore as many of them as possible the last time I was there. Next time I'm going to concentrate on capturing the beauty of specific areas
Thanks! (my photos are nothing compared to your travel pics)

Re: Pangasinan's Hidden Vistas

Sitio Pedeg
Brgy Tambobong, Dasol

This is still on the west coast on the boundary of Burgos and Dasol. There are sporadic beaches in between these rock walls. There are also caves to explore. When the waves are strong you will be able to see the columns of sea water surging up the blowholes. White sand is deposited on top of these rock walls due to these blowholes

Re: Pangasinan's Hidden Vistas

Kabakungan Cove
Tambobong, Dasol

At the northwestern tip of the Tambobong Beach is a small cove with reddish pink rocks lining the shore.

Kabakungan Cove

The Baby Factory

At one end of the cove is a cave with an emerald green pool inside.

Keyhole

There are several entry points to the cave. There is one on top of a hill above the cave where you can jump straight into the pool. There are also entry points submerged under 4-5 feet of sea water.

For some reasons the locals also call this cave the "Baby Factory".

Crocodile Island
Tambobong, Dasol

This is a "short swim" from the Kabakungan Cove.
It has a lot of caves for the more daring.
