Maybe not. I suspect that the lens design of that is similar to my SMCP A 135/2.8; the barrel design looks the same and the only known difference is the lack of SMC. I suppose if we were shooting with the sun behind our backs we would produce the same results.

Btw...iba pa yun Takumar 135/2.8 ko from my SMC Pentax A 135/2.8.

A question to you guys. I have the chance of getting a Vivitar 135mm f/2.8 Pentax Bayonet mount.

Is the lens any good? Also, Pentax Bayonet mount is the same as K mount right? Thanks in advance!

@Alan: Don't know about the Vivitar but yes, the bayonet means K-mount.

Vivitar never made its own lenses having them OEMed elsewhere. So their quality was never consistent throughout. It you're talking about an older 135/2.8 maybe it would be adequate. If being a bargain was the issue, I'd stick to the US$25 deals on EBay that will land you either the Takumar 135/2.5 (the one Noli is using and has posted in the Post your Photos thread) or f2.8 variant (I have one...nasa hiraman).

I was about 2-1/2 feet from the spider. I don't think my copy is close-focusing.
