    Re: Canon T4i/650d

I really like the new features being adopted from the semi-pro cam.
Pentaprism viewfinder and 9 cross type AF point from 60d. Now I am excited to see what will be the upgrade on 60d. I heard that it will have the same 19 point AF from 7d.

if this camera only have weather sealing and dual dial then it will be a perfect match for pentax k-30.
I also hope that the AF on video will be better than nikon

the viewfinder is Penta Mirror not Pentaprism, putting a pentaprism there would make that more expensive

I guess that's pentaprism. Pentax had made ~$800 K-30 camera with pentaprism viewfinder, and weather sealing. So it is possible for this camera. The source is also reliable. Anyways the announcement date is later today so we can confirm that.

Yeah its pentamirror. It will be great if they made it pentaprism with weather sealing just like pentax k-30.
Canon is not leading when in terms of features versus price.

    Re: Canon T4i/650d

weather sealing is perhaps one of the least concerns of Canon when it comes to entry level models. since they care more about pixel count, ISO and video.

Interesting new features. Video mode is now on the power switch....convenient. I just wish the 600d lower in price substantially.

650D will come also with the new STM Pancake lens ( 40mm f/2.8) and the new EF-S lens 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS STM. STM stands for Silent Motor. Looks like Canon makes the epic run for the video makers. Also for the photographers.
