Hi DPP folks,

Let me share the weekend i had at Hongkong with all of you. Under the daily pressures of work, i was somewhat thrilled to spend a few days as a tourist, carefree and intent only on having fun.

I had an eerie feeling to stepping into another land not your own. It was an eyeopener how the hongkong people made the most of their resources. Commuting was a snap either through bus, taxi or the mtr, traffic lights everywhere, a huge airport, big public parks, tall buildings and yummy food.

It was nice to have my hands on my camera the whole day. People do not frown at cameras in hongkong, so i felt welcome and secure walking around while i was there.

Hope you get some sort of understanding what i saw there, as we all have this passion as snappers; Always seeing the world through our lenses.

touchdown! It was a treat to see such a BIG airport after 2 hours in the plane. Funny how our NAIA 3 compares to an ordinary train drop-off station in HK. You can get lost here if you dont pay attention to the signs. There is even a train that will take you to immigration as well as to claim your bags. Instead of seeing a few planes in the manila airport, HK's airport had a swarm of planes!

Before heading out for a bus to Nathan Road. I met my wife for a late dinner at Maxim. We had red spicy curry chicken and sliced pork over rice.

$70 total.

Managed to get out of the airport an into the street, first time to smell chinese air.

Buses will only drop you off to a specific place, so you must buy the right ticket,...or you can ride the train, but that is way more expensive.

After buying tickets, we rode on the 2nd floor of the bus. They had mini cameras and monitors so you can see your bags downstairs. Oh btw, traffic is opposite from Manila, so have to be careful to look the proper way before crossing the street. I took a while to get used to looking right for incoming traffic.
