Hail to the new King of DSLR...Nikon D800

Topping with the overall score of 95 at DxOMark tests for its sensor, Nikon D800 is the new King of DSLR...
Canon 5DMK3 is well behind with a score of 80....

Got to start saving for this new monster....

    Great job Nikon!!!

does it beat d4? or most of the praises for the d800/d800e are just because of it's enormous megapixel?
Photography is an art, not science. So whatever looks good to you is right.

In terms of what? These cameras have their own strengths and weaknesses. They were designed to specific group or type of photographers. Some who uses them to make money ended up with both. I cannot comment on the D4 since I don't have one or have any experience using it but my guess would be "No".

I can put out specific criteria that will make the D800 appear better than the D4 such as price and MP. Video, they might be equal although the D4 can capture an image (still) while taking video.
    Best regards,

maybe the thread title should be changed, because the D800E just scored a nearly perfect score on DXO's charts

According to the reviews i got. The d 800 slays the d4 for studio use. For portraits it dominates most if not all dslr's. The d4 is better for sports though.
