    It'd probably sell for an equivalent of USD1600 here... or higher.

    still at 55k, it performs better than the Canon 24-70 2.8 MkI L. Tests were made by LensRentals.com and shared over at Canon Rumours.

    that Nikon guy from youtube did a thorough test on this lens (5 or 6 videos), compared it to the other 24-70 as well and i might say, im really impressed with its performance! the VC is really really usable. its evident on his video and still tests

    If you're a videographer I can see the benefit in this lens. The rest of the companies will have to pull up their socks to add stabilization to their current lenses in this length. Still, if you don't own the flagship lens in this class for your camera, this would be a good bang for buck purchase in that bracket.
