so this will not cover the OA guys that was picked last year?

So this is clear. Caltex was sponsor to last OA that never went through. We will talk to them again to make this happen within the year with the original crew.

This new OA is sponsored by KLM and is a totally new deal. There's going to be a bit of a twist to the selection process and I will announce that next week after signing an agreement with them. This is open to everyone, even past OA members and those under the Caltex team.

Stay tuned here. You won't have to be an expert to participate, but having a range of skills will definitely be to your advantage.

WOW! Europe!!! Looks like this is going to be the grandest OA!
This will involve a lot of preparations - gears to bring along, passport, visa, at least 5 days leave from work/family, etc.
Will this be during the summer (July-Aug) or fall (Sept-Oct) or Winter?

Just had a very nice meeting with KLM yesterday and came to an agreement for ON ASSIGNMENT to be done this coming October in alignment with the airlines' 60th Anniversary.

Since KLM is involved you know that this ON ASSIGNMENT is going to be INTERNATIONAL. You can also be assured its going to be somewhere in Europe to a destination covered by KLM. Its quite the Assignment and the photographers chosen are going to be challenged. I will make an official post and reveal all the details by early next week after we both sign the agreement.

Exciting stuff for DPP members again. Thanks KLM!
