Good Morning GT! How's everyone? Been shooting everyday but not able to transfer my shots yet to busy working.

Shooting a buddy's wedding on Sunday... What a way to get back into the groove From a month of almost no shooting to a full wedding shoot...

Comments time!!!
@oliver - very nice! The background unfocused SB cup is a nice touch. Not blatantly showing where it is but still obvious. The sandwich is very appetizing too with you showing the cross section. Good compo and colors, and using a not so typical pov is a nice change from the overhead view.

@jezuy - ok on technical but it might look better if the whole dipper (sandok) was shown in the pic. The basin might be ok cropped but the ladle seems to be more significant if shown completely.

@joey - love the grilled orange shot. Very shallow dof works well here and nice choice on the area of focus. F2 or so? The colors on the orange really pop out so it catches your eye compared to the neutral colors behind.

"The Window" is a bit tilted to my eyes but i'm not sure. "The Chair" might be better with the legs completely shown but can't really tell.


Weird isn't it? It's so easy to find stuff to improve on when you're looking at the output pic but if it's during actual shooting it's so hard to notice all the details

@oliver and Jeremy - I missed photoworld!!! stuff came up so couldn't go last Fri. I just asked a buddy to check out flash prices for me. Surprisingly the SB-700 is much cheaper now than it was last month. (17,000 early December vs. 14,500 last Fri). I was told that there weren't many shops present this year, much less than previous years...

@joey - love the Shrimp appetizer shot! Very appetizing output on that photo! Great colors. I think I'd prefer the food pieces to be placed more evenly around the plate but this still works.

The 'table' shot has a nice vintage look but the flowers(?) on the upper left is a distracting element. It might be better to have included the vase of the flowers or just removecd it entirely.

On the three plate shots, the compo is very similar between the three. As a theme it's pretty good and aesthetically pleasing but can also be seen as repetition of a theme. If it's for a meñu or a flyer it's ok but as stand alone images, they might look too repetitive.

I wish I had a spare 136,000 pesos (hahaha) That D800 restored my Nikon faith. I wish a D700 dips in the 70k range sometime soon.

That D800 has your name bro. I could see it now... Danskie800. I'm curious at the images of a 16-35 f4 + D800. Must be heaven to print with all the additional detail.
