    Pentax K-5

Surprisingly, with all these talk about upgrading to the K-5, no one has posted anything. Anyway, I finally upgraded my K10D to a K-5. I still use my K-x (which was to upgrade the DS). Initial thoughts: its everything it was hyped up to be...one significant report is that it takes all my lenses and they become better!

During Aliwan, I achieved sharpness and accuracy with my old FA 80-320 that was a pleasant surprise:

Btw, for those who came late, my FA 80-320 is broken--the aperture ring does not lock at "A" so I meter with the Green button.

+1. K-5 is indeed a worthwhile investment especially if you have a substantial collection of lenses already. I have some lenses that I thought that I would get rid of however, they turn out great if not much better with the K-5 body.

Congrats Bong for the new acquisition!

I guess ratings and performance for some lenses really do improve when used with a K-5 now that's nice to hear!

Guess I'll have one... 3 or so years from now T___T The K-5 is really the APS-C wonder...

    Thanks!

Oh...I do not consider it a toy. I do not play around with my camera; I shoot to kill.

If I were to upgrade this would be it, although the price for the grip is quite damn expensive! The grip's become quite the indispensible tool for me. Still, I'm happy with my GX-10 and the K-5 will be a long way off. I'd probably buy a 70-200 2.8 before then.

How's the AF of the K-5 compared to the K10/20D?
