Hi everyone! I'm about to buy a second hand Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 and I was just wondering if JT Photoworld calibrates Sigma lenses that weren't purchase for them? If they do, how much do you think it would cost? How long does it usually take and what time are they usually open?

Checked out their site here: http://www.jtphotoworld.com/ but it doesn't seem to help much.

You can try calling them @ 899.50.18 or 0921.977.7903 regarding the calibration as you would need to make an appointment for it. The calibration shouldn't take too long -- around 30 minutes??? I think they're already open at 9:00AM but you can ask about it as well (http://dponline.com.ph/store/#bottom).

    Cheers!

Thanks AnGeloChiu. Inquired at the JT Photoworld booth at the Photoworld Asia 2013 event yesterday and they said that they calibrate all lenses bought from their store for free but they charge Php 2,000.00 to calibrate lenses that don't come from them. They also said that even though you buy a second hand lens, just as long as it's still from them, they will calibrate it for free.

That's comforting to know. Thanks for the additional info Andreo! Hope you're having fun with your lens!

    Cheers!
