    Hi Sirs...

    This has been bugging me for quite some time...

    Does the Sigma 17-50 f/2.8 OS really outperforms the Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 VC?

    I have the latter, it's been good to me but not all the time...

    Just would like to know / affirm that switching to sigma (considering the price tag) is really worth it...

    My DSLR is still essential but I have to admit, sometimes it's losing the battle with my LX3

    Equipment: Nikon D300S...with numerous cheap "generic" lenses...but I have photoshop!...hehehe

    You are a "technician" and not an "artist"...if you are always fuzzy about your equipment and not your "output"!

    C'mon lets face it...almost all photos posted in this forum were altered, sharpened or tweaked in some other way!

    In some reliable reviews...the Tammy wins over the Sigma....and in some reviews ...its the Sigma over the Tamron....sometimes the Sigma and Tamron, wins over the Nikkor 17- 55 mm f 2.8! Its really a never ending issue! I say, just keep on shooting and make the best of what you have...anyway there's always "photoshop"....hehehe

    I wish I can afford to buy this nice lens. I want this lens so bad for my Coron trip this summer but saw the price and I was shocked. HAHA! I hope I can borrow/rent the lens LOL
