If you are on a budget. Try to look for a Canon A470. Got mine for 8k in 2008. It's a decent camera and I still see brand new units for sale. I kept it as a fun camera even after I got my 2 Nikon DSLRs. Used it for video, document copying, photo copying, etc. Here sample photos.
