My expectations in an EB are
1. Meet and chat with fellow photographers
2. Learn tips from the vets/experts
3. Practice shooting
4. Learn from the experience
5. Have something to show afterwards
probably EBs set as party, no gears just food and booze

expect it to be fun and fulfilling. shoot shoot and friends, be it old or new!
and God said, "Light!"
And light appeared...
i expect an EB to be something fun and lots of learning.
1. Its a place for newbies, amateurs to meet up with professionals and shoot without any pressure.
2. Learning for newbies to see what other photographers shoot, how they shoot, and why they shoot that specific subject. (I know a lot of newbies are shy and afraid to meet other photographers for fear of criticism).
3. Its a place to meet new friends.
4. Its a way to go out and shoot without fear of being robbed. There is strength in numbers.
5. Its also a way to enable lurkers to start posting in the forums.
6. Its a way to practice your skills.
7. Its a way to have fun and relax and also relieve your stress.
8. To get to go to new places.
9. To test out other peoples gears.
