Pilar Tuason 11-15-2007, 11:26 AM if they are cool about it, why not??? i think it would be awesome. Just make sure that the wet rain will still flatter them. make sure that the makeup is waterproof make sure that her hair (his hair too) will still look great even if they get wet make sure that the clothes will not be see through. especially the top if the girl is "the shy type" make sure that your gear is protected. place a camera raincoat on and invest in a huge umbrella . a beach umbrella would be great. use 1 lens only. you wont have the chance to change lenses and if you do, you might risk wetting the inside of your camera. take some photos of them before they get wet in the rain. a simple umbrelal with 1 color and no logos would great. take tight shots and wide shots have fun!! good luck. I would love to see what you come up with. Yup! I think it's a good idea, most especially if the clients are really cool about it. Here are some sample shots: http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/6795/75038645hm9.jpg http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/4750/90228772gg3.jpg http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/859/73237223pj7.jpg jijodeguzman 11-15-2007, 07:34 PM If you are creative enough, why not???:) I am sure you can get unique shots. napapolinario 11-20-2007, 01:59 PM Or attach an umbrella to a lighstand if you can't afford to tag along an assistant. ryanmacalandag 11-27-2007, 07:02 PM http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2031/2065548853_879a3b39af.jpg Emily's luck with the weather wasn't that good. These couple, Ken & Emily, who are from Hongkong already went to Taiwan for their prenuptial shoot. But it rained then. So Emily decided to try her luck in the tropical Philippines, to her dismay. Ken was her sunshine though, always telling his fiancee that evrything will be fine. I was encouraging them too, telling the couple we should just use the weather to our onw advantage. This shot was on top of the Chocolate Hills in Carmen, Bohol. We had lugged around with us umbrellas all day long so I thought, I should just take this shot and include all the umbrellas we had in the frame. Total umbrellas: 4 -- one is the silver umbrella for the off-camera light high at camera right Nedless to say, I got my D80 a bit wet..well drenched even! It was worth it though. We had two days of fun in the rain. Still on top of the Chocolate Hills view deck, we managed to shoot some "tourist" photos. On a sunny day, tourist will be lining up to get a shot like this from a photo kiosk nearby. The hills can hardly be seen from the fog that envoloped the whole expanse. ryanmacalandag 11-28-2007, 01:06 PM http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2235/2069955025_b7c6d0eeab.jpg One more umbrella shot. :) |
