Wow look at the detail in the walls... Must be nice to see that in person. :)

I used to live in Iloilo way back in the 70's. Another beautiful church would be in Miagao, don't miss that one. When I went back there in 1997, I showed it to my wife and she really admired all the beautiful churches of Iloilo. God willing it will be sunny tomorrow for you to be able to shoot some more pics.

Jake... try going to San Joaquin, the church there is really marvelous, actually made of limestone bricks constructed in the 1800's, much beautiful than the Miag-ao church. Another very picturesque church is the Balaan Bukid Shrine situated at the top of Balaan Bukid in Guimaras Island.

I had the chance to photograph all the Catholic Churches in Panay Island in 2004 for a project for the Catholic Bishops Conference of the Philippines (CBCP).

Unfortunately not because the weather was gloomy during that day and the church wasn't well lighted...the interiors were beautiful...the stations of the cross were all made of mosaic tiles as well as the altar... i will go back there as soon as i free my busy schedule...

keep you posted earl...
