anybody has experiences with the SUPER and ST strobes? or can compare them with the Canon and Nikon counterparts. :D

I use the Sigma EF-500DG ST and hasn't failed me so far. In fact, I use it for birding with a Better Beamer attachment. For posterity shots of family and friends, I use a LumiQuest Pocket Bouncer.

brad, with these kinds of shots, do you use TTL or bounce it off something? how's the TTL performance?

I use it on both 350D and 30D fitted with either the 17-85, 70-200, or 100-400. For what I require of the flash, can't complain.

I only use TTL as posterity shots are one-time events and with the bouncer attached, the flash head remains in its normal position. So far, I'm very satisfied with the results.
