Cover of the 3rd issue was great. For the coming 4th - its Deja vu for me. I have seen this on the previous UK issue. Disappointing is putting it mildly - sorry but I feel shortchanged.:(

Hi John,

Basically we were getting close to being a full 6 weeks behind our UK colleagues so we made a decision to fast track our issues to keep up with the UK. Because of this, Issue 04 will have two feature articles rather than one; we practically combined two issues into one. So two things: 1) We didn't have enough time to shoot a similar cover and 2) we figured if we put the same cover side by side with the UK mag, readers would think twice and purchase the local edition at P295 versus the imported one at P875.

Thanks for your comment though. We welcome your opinions. I promise you will be seeing much more local covers from us.

My thoughts on the magazine ...

I used to buy the U.K edition but when the Philippine Edition came out, I was so glad that I decided to subscribe to the local issue of the magazine because for a price that's so much lower than the U.K edition, you get to see a lot of articles from the U.K edition PLUS you get articles featuring our very own local photographers PLUS you get updated with the current local items available here in Manila at local prices PLUS you get so see photos of people you know or sort of know at the reader's section.

I honestly have nothing to be disappointed about :) I think for a new photography magazine here in the Philippines, Digital Photography Philippines has gone well and beyond my expectations. Sure there are teenie tiny mistakes sometimes but nobody is perfect naman talaga eh... what really matters is that we know they are trying to do their very best to make everybody happy :)

Don't get me wrong john patrick. I do respect your opinions kasi you pay for the magazine with your hard earned money so you have the right to express your opinions.

I just want to share my thoughts lang din

I'm still waiting for my copy. But overall, I have been impressed with the mag. Well worth the money. It has lots of useful articles for amateurs such as myself. And for what it's worth, I find the local content very well presented. You folks know what you're doing :)
