how much is the K100D super and is it still available locally? is this available body only? also, is there any available vertical grip (or even just battery grip) for this camera? thanks in advance.

I read in a another forum that its available in camerahaus for 22k+ (body only) and there's a 3rd party batt grip available for it the ownuser DX-FBH i think its "by order" at jtphotoworld/dponline. hth!

i got my k100d super, body only for 19k at camerahaus north edsa. :)

that was a BIIIIIG drop, my K100D costed 150% of that value just a year ago. Though If I didn't get it, I wouldn't have around 4000~ shots made (removing the test shots of around 1000)

I like to have a battery grip too since I enjoy doing Portraiture.. I like K200D for its compactness and so does its battery grip.. I don't like the ownuser battery grip because it's bulky and you have to leave the I/O door of your camera open..

Well K10D and K20D for me is compact already.. Compared to the other brands.. and they look cute with BG3.. Ahahaha.. :):Grin::D

I like the Dicain version.. Clean.. Too bad it doesn't have a shutter button.. Well, am gonna build my gears na lang and then buy a new body + grip in the future :Grin:

wow... it's not even ten days and i'm having trouble finding one in any camerahaus stores. i've been calling each store for some days already. it's good i have the ist*d but i'm looking for one mainly for the 2.5" LCD, SDM compatibility, the SR and anti-dust features.... and best of all, the price. for me it's the best sub-P25k body around, and now it's gotten better with it being sub-20k already.

maybe a lot of people think as i do, so now it's gotten quite rare. :Grin:

afaik the plain vanilla k100d's just about out of stock from most where I know. Not unless I sell mine at a high price (then get a K20D *snicker*)

lol herbert, I'll only throw in the kit and the 50mm (I found my 70-300mm VERY useful) if and only if the K20D I get has a DA* 16-50mm.... which will require me about errr.... 2 years to make ipon, not unless Pentax decides to sell it at a bargain on Black Friday or Memorial Day :)

Well, if it ain't available in Camerahaus, I doubt that you can get it anywhere else.

You can try scouring tipidpc.com for second hand ones though.

well, lets say that it is the affordable entry-level DSLR pentax offers. the K200D is still so expensive for a person having a small income like me. :P but hey, K100D Super has very good features it offers like the "SR" system, ISO 3200, and much more. just invest on the lenses. :)
