okay ba ang service support ng Pentax dito sa Pinas? to all pentax users here in Pinas... im thinking of getting a digital i have film Pentax cam also.

thanks for the link mr manayon. about 20 yrs ago i had my me super serviced at makati under columbia the technicians i met there are good i dont know where they are now.

im thinking of getting a k10d... my only worry is the service support, i had nightmares with minolta and konica minolta...

if you finally get the k10d, service depends on where you bought the cam.

for sanly, all dslrs that need servicing under the warranty period will be sent directly to japan. you can be sure it will be serviced well although you'll have to wait for it to be shipped back.

if you buy at camerahaus, i believe someone in the forum stated that camerahaus services their pentax cams in their office in binondo. as i have not bought from them yet and so have not sampled their service, i can offer no feedback. maybe someone who has availed of camerahaus' service can chime in.

The Sta. Cruz shop, I think, is Super East (aka Camerahaus). I would not know if Camerahaus branches (there's one in SM North and another in Glorietta--QC and Makati!) would received your Optio or if they'll tell you to go to Sta. Cruz too, but it would not hurt to ask.

Reading through the posts here I'm also thinking about that. Thanks Bong hope they could do that. :)

Camerahaus' mall branches accept items for repair, and send these to their Binondo office - this adds about a couple of weeks to the turnaround time, since they apparently only collect/deliver items once a week. I've had my DS repaired by them under warranty - worked well - about 3a -week wait. Sanly, I believe, only accepts items for repair at their main (Cubao) branch - and sends these to Japan for the actual repair. I've had my 50-200mm done by them - 2-month turnaround. My K10D is currently with them (tilted horizon) - I believe it'll be another couple of months waiting as well.

to all k10d users, any of you experience any FF or BF problems? especially with non-DA lenses?

@Paeng: Me. I experience BF issues with the Vivitar 28/2.8... however, Pentax won't fix this since it's not a Pentax lens... though my other lenses are fine... I think...
