Hi!

I went to Sanly Megamall this evening to have my sensor cleaned. To my surprise, they said that they don't do sensor cleaning for cameras that are not purchased from them. I really found this response very unusual (and unprofessional) considering that they are the authorized distributor (service center) here in the Philippines and sensor cleaning is a regular maintenance procedure.

Anyway, I left the unit with them and insisted that they check with the main office tomorrow and give me an official reply.

Has anyone in the group encountered this problem?

Really? If this is so, shame on Sanly! It's not like you're not going to pay for the cleaning services.

On a lighter note, Camerahaus / Supereastasia does offer cleaning services. You just have to bring your camera to their head office in Manila. Haven't tried it though, my sensor is still clean with a rocket blower.

Last year the saleslady also told me that they don't offer discounts on accesories if the DSLR is not purchased from Sanly,they are so affected siguro sa Camera Haus.

The main office accepted my camera body for sensor cleaning. I guess the sales lady at Megamall was just misinformed. :):D:Grin:
