My bad =b

anyway, here's the post from the thread. it was posted on May 17.

I called Sigma direct for release dates on their upcoming lenses.

The only 2 in the near proximity are the 50-500 (est May-June release) and the 150mm 2.8 (est July release).

He was a bit hard to understand, but I got those 2 dates out of him (ironic those are the lenses I am interested in).

Anyway, this might have been already posted, but just thought if it was not, I'd illuminate the crowd.

I think 300 2.8 (using the 150) is going to be sweet.

1000 F6.3 won't be all that bad either.

I was thinking that as well =b hehehe! =)

I wanted to ask that nga sana e =b haven't heard of anyone using the TC-14 on a sigma yet...

I got mine from Hidalgo. =) try asking the shops there, they don't usually stock it so it's on a order basis. you have to wait for sometime though, i waited a month ata before i got mine.. =)

otherwise you can just score one from the net =) B&H photo is good site, so is E-bay cameta, but i don't know if they stock the 55-200mm regularly.

HTH =)

Hi Tok,

Am planning to buy via Cameta Ebay a 14-54 lens. Would you know kung OK dito mag purchase? It says that they will charge $43 for the shipment. Door to door kaya ito?

hi ronald. my 14-54mm is from Cameta. i've bought more than a fair share of photo products and they never fail to deliver. you won't receive it on your doorstep though, count the days after you receive your Shipment Confirmation email, go to the office on the 5th working day, let the person sa EMS know that you're expecting a package from the us, i'm sure nandoon na yun, kasi if aantay ka ng postal parcel notice, naku aabutin ng 1 month bago mo matatanggap yung notice. hehehe! good luck! and yes, cameta is a recommended seller, sulit!

Thanks Jon. The one seeling at Cameta is a factory demo (the one being used for showrooms..I think). Is this alright to purchase? For a $305 worth + $43 shipment, are there any other fees that I would pay?

Sorry am just a newbie in buying online, where is EMS here?:)

I got my E-1 grip from Cameta (Ebay). They never answered my emails, I had to call them for my order to be processed. The package arrived within two weeks, and I got the notice from EMS a week after it arrived here. Warning: If you're based in Manila, Customs will charge you for the duty and tax. I paid P1,800 for an $80 purchase plus $50 shipping.

I'm not doing it again. If I were you, I will have the thing delivered to a friend/relative in the US and just have him send it to you through a friend/another relative who is coming home soon.

Or better yet, just buy Dexter's 14-54. I heard he's selling his. Just make sure it's a sharp copy.

i think nag focus sya sa coloring book at f2.8 dang!... i doesnt bother me though kasi a lil sharpness setting would remedy it. tsaka weird kasi the kids face is sharp sa unresized pic. hmmm...
