@ errol

cool takes. the first image got my attention.

good details and texture.

the borders that you used somewhat distracted me though... all in all solid series.

@ joel - some photos i used lab, some i used gradient map. both are fun to do.

@ levi - thanks. i got the border from the net. i played around with it. i think i used it too much :)

hi larry,

the palace is a good place to shoot. daming subjects. dont forget to visit the temples too. there are occational "monks sighting" and they seem friendly. some photos are located within bangkok. but the ruins photos are outside, i think. i joined a day tour to go to these places. maybe you can do that too.

happy trip! :)

Sawadee khrap! Paul, try and take a river tour on on the Chao Phrya (that's their Pasig river, only cleaner); you can take a 3 or 5 seater boat (more like a bangka) from just behind the Grand Palace. Take it just before sunset and ask your boatman to take you to the Temple of the Dawn (Wat ??). The spires are ceramic so you'll get interesting reflections. :)

the Temple of Dawn is Wat Arun and as Winston mentioned its a great photo op.

If you can get up early, the river market (or whatever it's called) is also a nice photo op. But I think after 6:30am, most of the bancas selling produce are gone.
