Greetings everyone...

I don't know who among the veterans / experts i have to be asking advice from and in what proper forum so to the moderators kindly move this to the proper forum if necessary. So here goes my case.

I've been tasked to shoot an estate. Well, the primary idea is to introduce the ideas of family, lifestyle, fun, tranquility, activity, nature, sports.. into the shoot... of course bearing in mind that these have to gel with the estate and its existing development as the backdrop...

Now I did tell them that i'm new at this so there's no misunderstanding as to my present capabilities; and that it's possible the equipment necessary for an assignment of this magnitude are outside my grasp. At present here're my gear, to list: EOS 10D, EOS 300D, 18-55 kit lens, 28-135 mm IS USM, 85mm f/1.8 USM, 24-70L USM, 550 ex speedlite, 420 ex speedlite, 3 china-made studio strobes...

Currently, i'm thinking of having a family or two as models, probably a not so young yuppie couple.. some kids.. I do believe that there'll be shots emphasizing on the estate and some on the models.

If you've done this before, any suggestions on camera settings, composition, lighting, concepts?

All suggestions absolutely welcome.

Martin

Remember this: Don't look for the things you don't have.
Your equipment is good enough for the project that you are shooting.
What you need is to look thru sample shots that are similar to what your shooting
compare and study fully and focus on what you need. Make an ocular/visit the place where your shoot will take place for you to be prepared whether it's indoor or outdoor
at least you will have an idea where the sun goes or what light condition there is.
And i think thats about it.
