Either you like it or not, in life stages of a photographer there are moments that you are passionate about your gears as photographic equipment. And pro’s can attest to that. Kindly post and share your photos which are related to your gears. Cheers!

LOL! The lens is something alright. But you should see the pictures it can create with very little effort. I feel like a "Pro" now :)

I just got it last week and finally got a chance to play with it today.

How is this for fast auto-focus?

http://zandy.smugmug.com/photos/92110766-L.jpg

Notice how it rendered the post and rope at the back almost indistinguishable?

Here's another one:

Rub it in Earl :).
Christmas came early for me this year (more like 3 Chirstmasses). Just got the 200mm VR with the TC20E II, and 105mm VR just arrived!

Now, that should be it for me as far as lenses goes for the next few years. (Yeah right)

As for the filter thread, there is none. (Though I measured the lens opening to be 115mm, hood opening is 155mm) There is a slot at the rear of the lens near the lens mount that accepts a drop in 52mm filter (A neutral density filter is included). Parang regular filter din lang sya pero with a special housing.

The outermost element by the way is a what Nikon calls "meniscus protective glass".

Regards.

Zandy, the next time Santa drops by your place... leave a message on post it or tell him; nevermind those dirty socks I hung... Just add something more to my bank account instead... :D

You're a lucky man. :) Congrats on the good glass... Oh and the 105 VR can be quite addictive...

Hey Sonny,

I don't think the intention of the thread is to show off one's gears (though you can say I may be guilty of that). It's about you and whatever gear you have and it's all good!
