hi elvin! please do browse the Olympud threads as there are a few topics about OM lenses. also, there are quite a number of 4/3 adapters availble on the net, for Nikon and Canon so you can definitely use those lenses :D good luck!

The good news is that you can use practically any (Canon, Nikon, Pentax, Zuiko, Contax, Leica R, etc.) manual focus lens on an Olympus DSLR. You need to buy the appropriate adapter. See this Cameraquest page (http://www.cameraquest.com/adapt_olyE1.htm) for more info.

Of course if you have old OM lenses, you can use the Olympus MF-1 OM to 4/3 adapter. I just bought mine and tried it on my Zuikos (50, 135, 300). Works as stated in the reviews. I am finding out that the Zuiko 50/1.8 can be a good portrait lens and that the 300mm f/4.5 can be hand held--mabigat nga lang.

thanks guys for replying just bought a 100mm 1.8 om zuiko... i love the "bokeh" and very bright lens, i guess i just have to get use to the manual focusing but overall i love the lens!

100mm F1.8? hmmm... sounds interesting =b can i ask where you got it from?

Im on the hunt for Zuiko OM lenses as well, i bought a 28mm F2.8 from hidalgo for 1g, more like stole actually, i mean for that price =b i also have the 50mm F1.8, loving every shot i got from it! ive also tried bert's 300mm, mabigat nga! hehehe =b but its total focal length of 600mm makes up for its weight. =)

There are other OM lenses that are worth looking at as well.

try browsing the Oly forum for the OM lenses, they posted some shots from the lenses as well =)

What do you think guys is it a catch? actually the lens is in very good condition, no scratcher and very clean.

yup! i like the second hand market here in sg, people here tend to get the "what's in" so usually they sell quickly there stuff for a low price, anyway i think electronics and gadgets are the only cheap thing here anything else is freaking expensive! oh by the way i'm going back to Ph this coming sept if any of you guys wanted to buy here in sg, just pm me, the only catch is i live in Bulacan hehehehehe u have to get it there :D

hi elvin, nice one there! always remember, testers from wrotniak said that zoom OM lenses don't work as well or had diminishing optical qualities compared to prime OMs if used with an adapter for 4/3. :D

I'm quite a newbie on lens how would you know it a lens is a prime lens or just a normal om lens?

a prime lens is a lens whose focal length is fixed, as opposed to a zoom lens, which has a variable focal length. Prime lenses are not as versatile as zoom lenses, but are often of better optical quality because they usually have a larger maximum aperture.

There's a quick guide on the MF-1 adapter manual regarding suggested OM lenses that are compatible with the E-system, though i only have two OM lenses though so im not quite sure if the manual is worth taking advice from =b

is it? =)
