My sister is getting married this December and from now 'til then, we will be doing a whole lot of layouts for their prenups.

We start off with just basic studios with a little personality. Just a simple one-light on black backdrop to start. Here's the cast:

the BWs look very nice! i find the first pic a bit disturbing, parang naka-dirty finger sya at first glance... unless you intently made it that way :) but the two are definitely photogenic and have spunk!!! :)

I actually like the first pic. Especially the facial expression. It's so serious yet so funny. :D
Anson, I don't think the first pic is 'disturbing'. Baka 'green minded' ka lang. Hehe... How's your brother Andrew and sister Annette?? Married yet? :D
Hope you are well.

now I got it...she was trying to show the RING...wrong pose. If would have been nice if she has extended allthe fingers and show the whole hands ( just like the 2nd pix) anyway the ring can be notice conspicuously

Thank you all for the comments! I really love how you all were "disturbed" by the first pic. That's what I was going for! We will have a whole lot more layouts for my sister's prenups and I promise that it'll be even more shocking than these. None of the usual holding hands by the sunset. :)

Thanks, Anthony. We are trying not to be as conventional as possible. Our next layouts will be even more crazy. I'll try to post here our next shoots and whoever wants to join, can. We usually shoot in the Marikina area.

I honestly like the series. Its not your usual "beach/park ala ever-after" prenup. It has a lot of edge for a prenup, very different. I love the B+W/low-keyish treatment. I just hoped the last shot was also in B+W for consistency.

:)

Thanks, Melvin! I appreciate all your comments, you guys! I am so looking forward to our next layouts now. They will be more "out of the box".

I like the concept. Extreme.

The finger pose is a bit overused already. It made me famous way back in 2002. But it may still work and the way you used it has a lot of sense.

Keep it up. :)

Thanks a bunch, sir! Yup, the finger has been a staple in pre and postnups so I'm still trying to find other unique ways to use it! The extreme layout is still yet to come :)

Thank you, Charles. I've been playing around with lights but I figured make the shoot as simple as possible. Just one light source and let the models bring it.

i prefer the attitude/pose of your sis more. good use of bw and lighting. the couple shot could've been converted to bw though. tfs.

I have to agree with Dino, the "dirty ring finger" is over used. (Popularized by an Australian photographer internationally and locally by Dino) I personally NEVER used it...but hey, to each his own. There is no right or wrong....as long as the couple likes it ( and hopefully their parents if they are the ones footing the bill) If you intend to have the photos shocking, dont forget to take some classics too, after all, who is to say that 10 years from now they will still like the "uso" (fad) shots.

Hi, Randy! No problem. I'll make sure to send your regards to Tini! We have tons more layouts to do since I really want my sister's prenups to rock.
