If I recall correctly, the Ultrasmooth, when combined with Epson Ultrachrome Inks, provides is one of the most archival combinations tested by Wilhelm. I believe the numbers are somewhere around 150 years. So all professionals here or just anyone who wants to preserve their work, this paper and ink combo is good to last 8 generations! I don't think photographers have had it so good.

Hello heidi. I'm a pro photog who loves to print on 13x19 sheets. I've the Epson R1800 and constantly using premium glossy and premium semi glossy that I get from Phil data. Ito po bang new paper that you are mentioning are better than the papers that I am using? Ano po ba ang best photo paper ng epson na 13x19, yung pang frame hehehe...

Photo luster po, san po ba nakakabili nito it seems wala nito dito sa atin eh, and is it good sa photographs?

thanks

Kristoffer,

All depends on your application. The R1800 is maximized for glossy output although the matte output is also good. However, it truly is a glossy machine since the printer has one cart dedicated as a Gloss Optimizer. Premium Lustre is probably one of the most popular papers. If framing behind glass, you will get much better pop or dmax than a matte paper such as the Ultrasmooth. Now which retailer has that in sheets I am not familiar.

nick is right, paper all depends on what type of finish you like. Glossy are usually used with out frames, because light will bounce 2X if you use glossy together with glass frames. Matte finish papers are really great for monochrome colors, either b/w, sepia, etc. and fine art images. Most photographers prefer luster because of it being in the middle, not too glossy but still with a slight gloss.

Luster papers are still available but only as rolls, Phildata/Bridge carries only cut sheets.
ultrasmooth has cut sheets of 13x19 available with Phildata/Bridge.

for roll types you can get it from the LFP resellers, with numbers on the post from the other thread.
