Hi Sonny. You can use a 6v Maxell 4LR44 battery for your Yashica Electro 35. It shorter than the camera battery compartment so you need to place some form of spacer. I use a couple of 10 cents and a spring. The battery is available in Columbia Cubao. You may call this number 9112671.

The Yashica Guy (http://www.yashica-guy.com/document/battery.html) sells adapters....or you could just DIY it just as Gerardo wrote.

You can use four LR44 batteries instead of a 4LR44, since they're easier to find and cheaper, too. Just make sure to insulate the sides of the batteries to avoid any short circuits.

Thanks guys greatly appreciated. Will try this today. Hopefully my rangefinder still works after years of storage. If any of you guys can direct me to a local store that still might have rangefinders such as the Leica M series or the Bessa, please PM me. thanks.

AFAIK, there's no Canon 50/1.0 RF lens. A 50/0.95, yes.

i believe they do have medium format. it all depends on what they get for consignment actually. the last time i was there, probably a month ago, i saw some MINOLTA HI MATIC/s , and CANON QL GIII17 and other CANONET/s. ah! saw one OLYMPUS PEN.
