Ritchie Perez 07-27-2007, 06:48 AM Your Best Bet would be checking Fred miranda or POTN and inquiring from this forums or better PM mr Nestor Ramirez and use his advice on pricing from the east coast as a benchmark for pricing here in CA
Nick_Espino 07-27-2007, 10:14 AM Depends on your target market and how good you are.
Marcos Reyes Lequin 07-27-2007, 03:52 PM OK, i will check that Ritz, and i will call you as soon as i get my cellfon, our landline phone here in Rancho is busted, thats why i could not call you.
Sir Nick, Im not really sure how good am I, but the thing is, its them whos offering me to shoot the concert, and I couldn't really give the right price, i just told them its up to them, but they say check the market so i won't be loosing at the end, they are nice people and I thank the LORD for leading me to them.
I got wedding offer to shoot, concert and they even send some of their product for me to shoot.
Thank You More Power To Everybody. GOD BLESS US ALL
Nick_Espino 07-27-2007, 08:04 PM Marcos, figure out your cost na lang then mark it up for profit.
Say, you'll shoot the concert for 4 hours and process them for 2 hours, and you feel your hourly worth is $250. Then that's $1,500. Plus, your travel cost and meals, let's assume $200. Plus your equipment depreciation, again let's assume it's $150. Assuming a cost of $100. Taxes of $200. You'll have a total cost of $2,150. You're already getting paid hourly on this calculation, but still mark it up a bit. Then add to that whatever licensing fee for your images is appropriate.
With the same scenario, most photographers I know will not shoot it for less than $5k.
John Richard Satingin 07-27-2007, 09:12 PM I agree, my mother once work as abackup phtographer and they charged 6k, of course, the materials you are using or cost of printing there costs dollars, 6k is just fine but when ou go back to the PH HAHA!! MAYAMAN KANA!! heheh If you have the time you can get the pictures printed here, and album etc hen send it back, you'll save a lot

Hey Marcos! Going rates these days in CA is about $500/hr this is only the time and talent of the photographer, no prints or whatsoever. As said in the past, this depends on your target market.
However, most photographers that I know in Southern CA, charge at least a minimum of $4,000.00 for images on a CD only because they release their rights to the client/s giving them the permission to print, distribute etc.
HTH.
