When shooting in RAW, does it bypass the saturation and sharpening in the parameters of the camera? All the other settings still apply, but I can't really tell if the tone, sharpness and saturation is still working under RAW.

Hi Amiel. When shooting in RAW basically you can say it bypasses or ignores in-camera enhancement settings that a user inputs. A RAW image is purely what your camera, lens and proper exposure settings captured (untouched and untweaked). The other parameters you mentioned earlier are applied to JPGs or TIFFs which are considered a byproduct of in-camera RAW processing. As a caveat, though you select your images to be taken in JPG or TIFF format, your camera still shoots in RAW mode however this native format is discarded after the JPG/TIFF is produced and your personal settings applied.

Hope this helps.:)
