Any suggestions on how to make a good shot using a mini digi cam? I used a Nikon Coolpix L2 which is very limited unlike those big cameras.

PS:
I did post a same thread but somehow it was deleted, but anyway thanks for the future suggestions :)

there's no really one way to a great shot. no matter what camera you use, you can take a good one if you know the basics. here are some suggestions (though most of them are quiet obvious):
- know your gear : be aware of its capabilities & limitations
- shoot in well-lit areas
- do not use digital zoom
- use the largest aperture (to capture the most light/blurr the background)
- learn when to use and not to use the flash
- stay tuned in DPP for more from the real masters :)

use the scene mode of your cam set it to Sports ( you wanted to shoot sports right?) your cam is fully auto so just be creative :)
