how much is the 85mm? unless it goes on a price drop as big as this, get the P2000!!! you won't regret it. (just psyche yourself and chant.."i just saved 12 grand, i just saved 12 grand...")
just get an extra battery as you might get too immersed with it hehehe
Electroworld could have stocks of this btw..

where did you get yours? i dropped by a few days ago, 31995 pa rin.
Vince_Villamin 08-30-2006, 02:35 PM I read in the dpreview site that the P2000 can only read jpgs up to 8.9 megapixels. is that still accurate? is there some sort of firmware to make it read higher res files? I was very interested in it up until i read that limitation since i do use a D200.
levi lacandula 08-30-2006, 07:20 PM where did you get yours? i dropped by a few days ago, 31995 pa rin.
got it from avant. 3 months to pay :D sweet!!!
randykanapi 08-31-2006, 09:12 AM in response to several photogs who have been seeing the SRP at 31995...pls note it should be 19995. available in most electroworld outlets, but preferably in avant or electroworld in park square or greenbelt.
if by any chance they still show the old SRP, pls buzz me asap at 0920-9244990. some of them still have the old price in their system/computers but they should be changing this. we are talking to their head office to rectify this and i apologize for the inconvenience.
thanks for the understanding.
Brent_Co 09-11-2006, 10:08 AM Do you have spare batteries for this? Because I've been hearing that the batteries don't last that long according to users of the P2000.

it can manage the files of a D2x (large/fine).... but its too slow. didnt test if it can handle D2x's raw file though.

nap_alcedo 09-14-2006, 08:11 PM According to Engadget, nothing much except for the bigger storage capacity. You can check here (http://www.engadget.com/2005/09/22/epsons-80gb-p-4000-photo-fine-player/) for details
Jerry Sagmaquen 09-14-2006, 08:34 PM thanks nap! :) are you now willing to sell your 18-70mm? :D

migsguerrero 09-25-2006, 05:09 AM Hi. what about Nikon RAW?
It supports nikon RAW file format, including all the D2 series ... unfortunately it only gives you 1st layer zoom in's for RAW file formats. With the JPEG file you cant view up to 400+ magnigication.
Ang laki nang binaba nang price :( halos kalahati.

enjoy_gaw 11-06-2006, 09:02 AM I heard the the p2000 is able to store and display camera raw files.
My question is:
Does the epson p2000 read and display the RAW files of new cameras like the 400d or the D80?
Are firmware upgrades available to allow this and possibly newer cameras as they get released in the future?

Yes it does. Had no problems with it when I had the loaner 400D. Yes there are firmware upgrades easily available to improve the P2000. It's a steal for PhP 19,995.
