To all,

More or less, a lot of veterans can tell you w/c churches are photographer friendly and w/c ones are not. But I wonder if you folks can tell me which hotels ARE and NOT photographer friendly. And hotels are becoming the norm in preps now, instead of the house or place of residence.

With churches, you basically have no choice if a couple have one in mind, but they surely have lots of options for a good hotel. Some hotels have good lobbies, good lighting, good staircase for photo ops, nice view, etc. Some don't have anything at all. Some bad ones even don't allow you take pictures in some of their areas.

Can you share your experiences w/c hotels you find photographer friendly and w/c are not? Can you explain why they are good and not so good?

Sommerset Hotel in Makati is allergic to DSLR's. Lobby guards seemed to be well-informed (I supposed by the Management) and will immediately drove you out from their premises.

Westin now charge for pictorial in the lobby and bay area if the reception is not there. I think it's P5,000 or P10,000. They also don't allow food going to the room. So, don't expect jolibee meals during prep.

I covered a wedding last saturday and was surprised that MANILA DIAMOND HOTEL sa Roxas Blvd. now charges fees (P2,500.00 ata) for pictorials at their lobby. Pinagbawalan din videographer ko but I reasoned that it's not a still camera aka DSLR, ayun, pinayagan. hahaha

worst church for me is cathedral and st. james (alabang). Worst hotel for me is Manila Pen, Makati Shang and Sofitel.
