(Taking a chance)

I'm not sure if there is a problem with my holga's hotshoe or the flash unit i was trying out. apparently the flash unit works well with the dslr but not with the holga.. is there any place where i can have my camera checked? thanks!

Try checking lomomanila.ph, theres a section there called lomodoctor...i think there's someone there specializing on lomocams. HTH

What flash were you using? If what you have is a dedicated, multi-pin contact flash, there is a chance that it won't work on a simple, single-pin shoe such as the one found on the Holga. Did the Holga ever work with other flash? It could also be an instance where the flash shoe pin(s) did not engage properly with the Holga's contacts.

hi jay... this is the first time i tried the holga with a flash. i use the colorsplash so i guess there should be no problem since it's a single pin shoe. i think i messed up the wiring inside because i tried the aperture mod.. huhu
