i noticed that d70/d70s have lcd protector, is this also available for d50 ? if yes where can i find this and how much ? tia

Unfortunately, the D50 does not have a Nikon LCD protector. :)

You can buy the film screen protectors for PDAs / iPods / celphones and use those. Just cut to fit.

There are also third party lcd protectors for the D50 that you can buy apart from the fim screen protectors. The types that flip up that also shades the LCD from direct light. Also saw one that acts like a bellow which you stick on the display. Try to look it up in B&H or Adorama. :)

Hoodman USA (http://www.hoodmanusa.com/flip_up.asp#Nikon) has one for the D50... though i find it too bulky already.

That's what I did with my D50 before. Came out quite well. I'm also planning to do the same with my D70s... I find the LCD protector a bit bulky (but still OK). :)
