I suggest you try it out first and whegh your options. do you guys know if the kodak z650 is worth buying? is it nice to use? pros and cons? im a new member. i hope you guys can help me.:) thanks.:) rain damian 06-21-2007, 06:51 PM thank you for the advise. :) very much appriciated. :) armand_apuntar 06-21-2007, 07:17 PM do you guys know if the kodak z650 is worth buying? is it nice to use? pros and cons? im a new member. i hope you guys can help me.:) thanks.:) Hi there! I'm a Kodak user before shifting to Nikon D40. My say is that it's a good camera for point and shoot, but if you want to explore photography like the exposure, dof, sharpness, iso, aperture, shutter, etc... then this is not a good one. Though it has manual control, settings are far different than DSLRS, also Z650 has no manual focus and IS. I advise you get the S3IS or S5IS instead or better is get the entry level DSLR D40, and you'll not regret price is almost the same. Advantage of the S3* series would be the live view, video, and 12x zoom. But picture quality, go for a DSLR, even with a kit lens, the quality is superb. For sample pics taken with Z650, you can visit some of my takes: Universal Studio (http://picasaweb.google.com/arman.apuntar/UniversalStudio) DisneyLand (http://picasaweb.google.com/arman.apuntar/Disneyland) Chicago (http://picasaweb.google.com/arman.apuntar/ChicagoTrip) Alvin Dominic Valentin 06-21-2007, 07:29 PM Hello Im a Kodak user before, a Z7590 is really a good start for me! it was my first camera! The Z series of Kodak was good enough for a prosumer cam and for starters too. But i strongly suggest that its either you go for the Canon PS S3IS or S5IS. I've tried all of these camera and i can see the big difference. or just what like Armand said.. go for Nikon D40 nalang! (if your Budget still permits!) carlo_mendoza 06-22-2007, 08:18 AM My sister uses a Kodak Z700 and i have noticed noise at ISO80. It is a 4MP camera with a 5x zoom. It also has the PAS mode (Programmed Auto, Aperture priority, Shutter priority), which i think isnt really a big help :) Personally, I prefer my cheapo 3.2MP Olympus C310Zoom for the image quality. rain damian 06-24-2007, 09:25 AM hi guys. thanks for the advise. i really appreciate it. :) i'm still thinking twice with the kodak z650. i was able to try using it just yeasterday and it took blurry pictures when zoom is used and dark pictures indoors. but kodak really takes beautiful outdoor pictures. my point and shoot camera is kodak, and i love using it when taking pictures outdoors. what about the olympus sp510 uz? the staff suggested it to me, he said it takes pretty nice pictures, and i figured out that it's somehow within the budget.. since he said the owner agreed give it at 18months 0% :D they don't have nikon camera in the store, so sadly i wasn't able to check it out. what do you think? i'm somehow in a tight budget, but i still want to have a good camera with high zoom specs. :D thanks in advance :) Vin DelaPena 08-03-2007, 06:51 AM hi rain. have u already bought a camera? i would also recommend the S3IS or S5IS, they're (arguably) the best in the ultra-zoom family :) S3 is 15k and S5 is 21k in Hidalgo now, with about 20k, you can have an S3 with good lens accessories :) janysek 08-16-2010, 11:58 AM It improvement of storage also applies to video & no extra Secure Digital memory, you can just under 3.5 minutes of video , but it Extending to 256, you can save up to half an hour. |
