Pls post some samples and technique. Maybe a little something about how it works. Thanks! Pilar tj_parpan 05-18-2006, 11:49 AM Here are a few I took when my youngest son was born. You just use your fingers to expand an compress the bellows and twist them from side to side. Find out more on their website. Pls post some samples and technique. Maybe a little something about how it works. Thanks! Pilar I had a play with lens baby at the Photo Imaging Convention here in Sydney and its really cool, though a bit of practice to get used to it. Yes, I think it can be achieved reasonably using Photoshop. I have an action script which I have been using for a while. I downloaded it from a site. If interested, I can email it to you. Sonny Thakur 09-28-2006, 10:33 AM actually, with the noctilux, if you have an image thats focused on properly, you can have razor sharp images from corner to corner :) Carlo R. Lopez 09-28-2006, 10:38 AM actually, with the noctilux, if you have an image thats focused on properly, you can have razor sharp images from corner to corner :) yeah but imagine its ability to obliterate the background into a nice creamy mush ala time warp:Grin: Earl Gonzalez 09-28-2006, 09:40 PM Have to agree $274 for the new lensbaby is steep.... The thing never even crossed my imagination... :SunGlass: orlando_arcelao_jr 10-01-2006, 06:35 PM The new lensbabies price tag is too steep! I might settle down with the lensbaby 2.0. I was greatly inspired by Tony Sweet's images taken with a lensbaby! :) http://www.tonytsweet.com/-/tonytsweet/gallery.asp?cat=22178&pID=1&row=15 Ronnel Cuison 04-27-2007, 10:21 PM Hi, this thread is old. However, I would like to add some more photos. Here are some shots using lens babies 2.0, it's been in my bag for a year and this is the 1st time I used it. It's a good, simple, and hard to use lens. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/171/468138693_bcd5625701_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/195/468138691_bfa60e7ef4_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/187/468138683_4102824788_o.jpg http://farm1.static.flickr.com/172/468138677_e81a21976f_o.jpg See more photos in my flickr. ArthurLegardo 04-27-2007, 11:43 PM I have a 3G Lensbaby and the macro kit. It's a difficult lens to use, but I love the results, that's why I bought it. http://farm1.static.flickr.com/187/460019496_05d0054e83.jpg I still need a lot of practice. genald tungol 04-27-2007, 11:52 PM lensebabies are addictive, once u started u just keep on shooting. Francis_Magalona 04-28-2007, 02:36 AM got this too....you can get it to 2.8, 5.6 & 8...nifty and the lens is eyecatching cuz it looks sleekly weird, like a spring... basil carating 04-28-2007, 06:08 AM Free Lensbabies For Everyone!!- They're Called Picasa. zandy_marantal 04-28-2007, 10:48 AM Bought a 3G earlier this year. Didn't have the patience for it so it eventually got sold :) Harry Pun 04-28-2007, 03:08 PM with the pictures i saw in this thread, i would like to think that my Nikkor 60mm f/2.8 macro lens can very much produce the same image (provided that it is a close-up shot only). but i guess one nice thing about lens babies is that you can do it even in long shots... and with regards to the 85mm f/1.2 or 1.4 (for Nikon), the image is different from the lens baby. with the 85mm, you get a very sharp subject and blurred backgrounds. while with the lens baby, you will get a focused (but not sharp) at the center of the image and gradual off focus for the rest of the image (it's like dreaming or something)... i'm not sure about about what i'm talking about, i don't have a lens baby. my comments are just base on the images that i see in this thread and compare them to the images of other lenses that i have used. so please do correct me if i am wrong... ArthurLegardo 04-28-2007, 07:11 PM With a Lensbaby, you can move the part that is in focus anywhere within the frame (top left, bottom right, etc.). Apeture discs that come with the LB also allow you change the size of the area that is focus. karlosamson 01-07-2008, 07:22 PM Why is this thread dead? Few LB fans? Here's a shot using LB2.0 and macro kit.
