I managed to find Canon Matte Photo Paper MP-101. I purchased 100 sheets of A4 and 120 sheets of 4R of MP-101.

I'm off tomorrow to purchase/hoard stocks of Fredrix inkjet canvas since sketchbook is taking just a long time to restock.

I'm looking forward to a intensive inkjet printing session as soon as I arrive back in Manila :D

Cheers!

But I need at least five sheets of A4 to create the profile.

We might need a bit more to test the profile. :D

Cheers!

I've further restocked on Canon Fine Art inkjet papers and Fredrix Canvas :D Whoopeee!!!!!!! I can't wait to start printing as soon as I get back home.

The Canon Fine Art paper here is abundant and easy to find. Conceivably, I could start using it for my wedding albums. I'd probably have to jack up the cost - but clients do have to pay more for better output quality :D

It's not paper obsession. :D

Everyone appreciates a good print. You've done everything to shoot an image as best as you can. You might as well follow through on the effort all the way to the final print.

Printer purchase help? Get a Canon Pixma :D

I'll be getting in Crane Maestro canvas before the end of the month. Its supposed to be the most excellent canvas out there.

We'll be printing Wawi Navarroza's new show at Instituto Cervantes that is a tribute to Frida Kahlo. Wawi interpreted a load of Frida's works with her photography. These will all be canvas printed to look like paintings.

I'm big on the quality of the Canon desktop range but don't also rule out Epson or HP in this category. Very much capable also. The new Claria inksets are to die for.

@ Nick

Are you bringing in any of that canvas pre-cut for A3? :D

My wife is requesting that I soon start to print all the snapshots we took in Singapore.

I took a photo of my son holding my Lomo. My wife wants in printed on Fredrix Canvas. But I'm trying to convince her that we should print it on Canon Photo Rag :D

I just checked the website of Crane.

They only sell it in rolls. Oh well .....

I just went through almost 200 sheets of 4R Canon Glossy Photo Paper.

A little home project that took a life of its own :D

I also have several packs of Fredrix Inkjet Canvas (A3 & A4) arriving within the week.

We're updating the photos we have on display at my house. My paper stockpile will be depleted if I don't replenish ahead of schedule :D

Cheers!

Yahoooo!!!!!! I just got a phone call from Singapore confirming that my incoming supply of Fredrix Inkjet Canvas has been confirmed. :D

I've already been printing portraits I took of my kids all morning.

I no longer have to fret about how to replenish my paper hoard.

Cheers!

Sir Jo, which particular store did you buy those papers you mentioned? Thanks. I've been seriously contemplating on buying a decent photo printer and it seems that the Pixma Pro9000 is highly recommended by you. Do you think i should buy this now or wait for the soon to be released Pixma Pro9500?

The Pixma Pro9500 won't be released unitl mid-July at the earliest.

I have not seen any sample prints nor read of any reviews. I can't comment empirically on it. But I do know that I want one :D

The Pro9000 is more than a decent printer. I've even been using it to print my wedding album layouts. Both the Pro9000 and Pro 9500 are A3+ printers. It's maximum print size makes the printer versatile enough for a lot of uses.

I am happy with the output and the accuracy of the ICC profiles that came with the printer.

However, I would consider purchasing the Pro9500 if you want to print b&w.

I purchased my Canon Fine Art paper from Challenger in Funan.

The inkjet canvas was purchased from Art Friend (one flooor above from Kuronokiya in Ngee An).

Cheers!

@ Benjie

I've created an ICC profile for the Fredrix Inkjet Canvas when used with the Pro9000. Let me know if you get a Pro9000. I can send you the ICC profile for the Fredrix Canvas.

Cheers!
