Used a 1.4x TC with my Tamron 200-500 lens. It still allowed AF to work! I just used a monopod though, which was less than ideal. Full gallery here. (http://www.photo.net.ph/thumbnails.php?album=2614)

nice work teej. wow, those birds walk on water :p

i like the waterhen shot the most. the near frontal angle is refeshing for bird shots. :)

Excellent captures TJ. Good to hear that the TC works well with the Tamron. In my case, I can't do my testing as the EF TC won't fit the Tamron. Enjoy your time in Singapore.

Thanks Migs and Reyno! I wonder if I can stack the Nikon 2x TC and the Teleplus 1.4x? Image will surely suffer but I wonder about the reach...

Nice capture of the Little Heron! :) And I guess you've caught the "bug" of birders... no lens is long enough. :D

Haha! That's why getting a TC is still the cheaper way to get a longer lens.
