deal went sour with the product shoot... either i turn it down or push through with the shoot and risk being unprofessional so i turned it down... i called henry and told him that i won't be needing the lights anymore and asked if i could get something worth my downpayment. Ok naman daw, kaso medyo masama ata luob =b

i'm asking around kung anong magandang lights kunin =) i've been reading about the JTL and how it would literally shock the users and their gear through the sync cord. one reviewer wrote that he got shocked through the floor when he knelt down to get a better angle... yikes... =b

Try Bert's camera repair shop at hidalgo. it's a small stall opposite Avenue =) i got my 28mm f/2.8 there. no fungus, minor scratches... still sharp! set me back for a grand! =) i'm not sure how much it cost you to have it cleaned though, but it would be worth having the OM lens reconditioned =)

Just got my brand new E-500 this afternoon. I got it from a buy n seller for only Php 27,800 w/ 1gb xd and 14-45mm lens. Don't know if it's a good buy for that price since it is not a dual lens kit. Anyway, I'm still happy with my new toy since it is my first DSLR. Can't wait to go home!

Yeah. I was. Then I realized how HEAVY the K10D was for me. So I opted for something light and easy in my hands.

Besides, the price was more than just right for the two-lens kit. And I'm absolutely LOVING the glass on the kit lenses! :D

This is my first post in this forum. Actually my first ever in any online forum for that matter. Got interested in photography 2 years ago while I was in NY doing some training. It started with doing online research on what to buy as a point and shoot digicam mainly to document my stay abroad. Ended up buying a Panasonic FZ5 for my first camera ever. Then I got genuinely interested after reading a lot on photography online (mainly thru lurking at DPR's Panasonic Talk Forum).

Sold the FZ5 and bought the E-500 (twin lens kit) a year ago, admittedly mainly out of gear lust. Sold it to a colleague 4 months ago in anticipation of the E-510. No way I was going to be left without a camera so I bought the Oly C7070 WZ to tide me over. Amount of time between my selling the E-500 and acquiring the C7070? One hour!:D Presently Im a proud and excited owner of a month-old E-510.

Im no longer a complete novice but in my opinion, my skills may not be even considered average. Its alright I guess. What matters is Im enjoying this hobby very much!:)

When I got the E-510, I was a bit disappointed with its size. Coming from a Canon 20D with a battery grip, the E-510 felt strange in my hand. I had to put the strap around my neck to make sure it wouldn't accidentally slip ( if I break it, its considered sold...hehe ). But that's about all the disappointments.

Its got tons of features which my Canon 20D didn't have, and these features are not there for display, these features are there to actually be used. Just to list some of these down:

1. Auto ISO ( from 100 to 400 )
2. Built-in IS
3. Live View ( Now, I can shoot from the ground up without breaking my back )
4. Metering based on highlight and shadow
5. etc....

About everything can be tweaked in-cam with the E-510 (...saturation, contrast, shadows, highlights, sharpness, etc. ) which is what I want my new body to have. As a wedding photographer, anything that would make my PP faster and easier is Utopia. When you PP around 150-200 photos per wedding album, you'd have callouses in all your five fingers....and you'd come to a point when laying out an album becomes a nightmare...

As I hold the cam, I couldn't believe that such a small body can pack gigantic specs...more of which I will post later....

Hi Deo! We'll be expecting you review of the E510. I think Norman Aquino is also doing a review of the E510. As for the grip, you should try holding an E330 or an E500, that would be a major problem. When I first held my E510, it was PERFECT in my hand! I also got this generic handstrap from Hidalgo connected to the tripod socket of my E500. I transfered it to the E510 and it felt even more secure... perfectly perfect? Hehehe.

I'm sure you know of the new Canon 40D which also have a live view. Coming from Canon, and if you have a barrage of lenses, I think you should go for it. However, if you want a smaller, lighter and cheaper system with all those fantastic features, Olympus is the way to go! Especially with the improved & almost personal support Axis is giving to Oly users, you can't go wrong.
