No reason to be sad... The D200 is a great camera!!! And by the looks of it, this will be a "lower" model to the D200. :Grin:

i agree, it doesn't matter what camera you have even a camera phone can take great photos . . . nasa mata pa rin yan so to speak and in this digital age, we really have to learn to be content and SAVE UP hahaha . . . my 2 cents

I guess that Nikon is releasing this model in anticipation or direct competition with Sony's Alpha @ system....

just got my D70s last week :(

got mine last month, im telling you that it's easier for us 70/s people than D200 people (no offense meant) because we are 4MP away compared to them who are the same in MP's but then again i don't think Nikon would release something that would make the D200 people loose their faith in the darkside due to this new camera so i guess we have to wait and see but like what i said it is all in the EYE ;)

Hi guys im not a nikonian, but my brother complains of focus problem on his 2 yr old d70..his focus indicator says its focused but when you see the pics its kinda blurred even in tripod pics..Was told by local nikon (columbia photo i think) that it needs to be "calibrated" but since he bought it in Singapore, he has to bring it there because of the warranty.. Anyone has this problem too?

When my D70 came out it was better than the old top-of-the-line Nikon D1x...ccd-wise. For any newer Nikon DSLR camera of the same CCD lot, the newer ccd hardware is, at least, the same or a tad better. And look at the D50, when it came out after the D70: it has better NR than the D70 at high ISOs.

But let's hope the D80 is officially 10MP.

Wouldn't it be a big surprise if it suddenly came out with a Fuji Superr CCD instead of a Sony one (like the D200). I just really like the IQ of the S3 pro plus the speed and reliability of the Nikons.
