I just want to share this. I tried to turn this new picture into an old one. I had a lot of fun doing this, but it was not easy. It took me 1 hour. :D

Ronnel, Bro.! :) Great PP skill you have here my friend... I'm sure alot would appreciate learning the technique. :) You do not have to give them the exact recipe for the photo... just a birds eye view of the steps to lead the folks to the right direction. :)

Thanks Earl, well, it's kinda long but here are the basics:
- desaturate
- I actually looked at some old photos, they have scratches, stain, they're not white & worn out.
- After desaturating, i made sure the color matches the color of the old photo by adjusting the color, levels, contrast, hue saturation, etc.
- using a pen tablet I added the scratches, wacom gives a more natural scratch look than using a mouse
- I added a layer then i used the air brush, checked the "wet edges" box and sprayed on the sided to simulate the stain
- The frame is too straight so I made erased some parts to make it look jagged
- applied a little blur coz old photos are not sharp
- added some film grain
That's about it.

Thanks Marton, I was simulating a stain, I observed the qualities that make old picture look really old. I took into consideration the scratches, stains, chips, color fading, paper and noise. I didn't mind putting a stain directly on the face. BTW, stains can be done using the brush tool with the wet edges on. This gives a liquid paint effect, as if you are using the water color medium.:)
