guys i had the chance to play with the 10.5 fisheye,17-55, 70-200mm and the 24-85mm f 2.8-4. the latter was the most fun and enjoyable to play with. the macro features are pretty darn good although not quite like the 60mm. any of you guys own one? thinking of shelling out for one. from the reviews they say though that the f3.5-4.5 much sharper. can someone shed some light? thanks

i have a beaten 24-85mm f/2.8-4D IF i bought it second hand though. why beaten? because of the ample range it serves as my all around lens when covering events. its always attached to my S2 Pro. :D i love the flexibility of having a macro switch. i have a friend who has the f/3.5-4.5G version, in terms of sharpness, the f/2.8-4 is sharper than the other (or maybe its just me). but if i have to choose, i'd stick with my f/2.8-4. :D
two cents.
cheers!!

I have a 24-85G ED AFS version and it is a bit sharper and more contrasty compared with the 24-120D which I used to own. Although I would prefer the built of the 24-120 which to me feels more solid. Focusing is faster as expected for an AFS lens.
