Does anybody have any experience with getting lenses cleaned by the local dealer (Columbia)? Please share experience on how long it takes for them to return the lens and how much it will cost. Thanks.

Marton_Benitez 07-20-2006, 08:01 PM i had my dad's old lenses cleaned by them, they did a pretty good job. It took long though around 2weeks or more, I dont remember. :) Around 1000+ for 3 manual lenses. Vince_Villamin 07-21-2006, 02:44 PM Thanks for the info Carlo Leonardia 11-29-2006, 11:42 AM Hi, Is this columbia digital or other columbia outlets? I'm also interested in having a lens cleaned. I have also heard that Picture City in Timog is good. Anybody have experience with these guys in lens cleaning? Thanks. Carlo raymund_madronero 11-29-2006, 04:20 PM Mike Santos of Picture City is highly recommended... he does wonders in cleaning lense. I had a 28-105 mm lens with practically all elements infested with fungus brought to him and he was able to clean them. As to bringing them to Columbia Digital, the turnaround time for servicing is 7 days. The explanation to me was that, within 7 days after you bring the item, you will be contacted regarding the cost of the servicing and as to when the serviced items be available for pickup. Is this columbia digital or other columbia outlets? Got this answer for Anderson Tan last Oct. 14 ... (http://www.digitalphotographer.com.ph/forum/showthread.php?p=34457#post34457) Right now, no Columbia branches are associated with Columbia Digital. I will be making Hidalgo a drop off point soon. I don't hang out in Cubao. Raffy Crucillo 11-29-2006, 04:56 PM Mike Santos is highly recommended. allan_florendo 11-29-2006, 05:05 PM @raffy Which picture city?
