Good news for Velvia lovers.
The successor to the original Velvia (ISO50) will start selling on April 15 (in Japan, at least). It's official name is Fujichrome [Velvia50] Professional.
However, it will be initially limited to medium-format (120 & 220) and sheet film - 4x5, 4x5 Quickload, 8x10, and 5x7 (special order). Sales of the current Velvia for 35mm (135) will continue and introduction of the new Velvia50 (for 135) will be considered based on the sales of existing inventory.
