The Handsome Sunbird (Aethopyga bella, endemic to our islands), at 3-1/4" total length, is the smallest sunbird in the Philippines....:)

This one is from Mt. Makiling rainforest - 20D + 500 f4 IS + Canon 1.4x, 700 mm, f/5.6, 1/125 sec, ISO 800, manual exposure, available undercanopy light, RAW capture:

Another great capture Romy. I also like the foreground flower as it acts as a framing tool leading to the colorful bird.

Wow nice! With your pics and knowledge of bird pics, you should really write a coffee table book on Philippine birds sir Romy!

That's really a handsome Sunbird. It's funny to note that I started my passion for photography from looking bird pictures in pbase.
