@ Jom

Have you tried DigiPrint Pro? They use separate machines for the Pro members. These machines are regularly calibrated and their ICC profiles regularly updated.

I haven't had anything printed yet at Bella Luce. But I've seen what Nick goes through just to get the print right. The effort is reflected in the print quality.

I once joked Nick that all I have to do is go through his trashcan to see what he's been up to :D

I presume this is also reflected in the price of have "custom" prints done.

I have also seen the quality of work Nick produces and the effort he puts into getting a print right.

Yup. DigiPrint Pro is by membership only. It's for free. All you have to do is fill out a form. Your membership card will then be mailed to you after a few weeks. You get discounts and free delivery of prints :D

You can ask Miguel Vecin about it. He's a DPP forum member.

@ Mike

Of course the quality is reflected in price. :D

You can try Fujifilm. Great picture quality and great price! I've tried others like Digiprint and i wasn't that satisfied with the results and they even charged me some processing fee.

You can try at Megamall, although they don't resize the pictures. I think they don't have PS in their system. Don't try the one along Ortigas Ave. They have a minimun of P200 per transaction if it doesn't exceed P200, they will be charging you an additional of P50. Or if you want try the one at their main office (24 Sto. Domingo Road, Quezon City,Metro Manila, Philippines).

Aldrich,

Just wanted to know if you are working in a color managed environment. Digiprint Pro uses Fuji Frontier Machines on Crystal Archive Paper just like that Fujifilm lab you recommend so print quality should be the same.

@ Miguel

I passed by the digiprint shop at st.francis tiangge almost every saturday, and i always see the logo of fujifilm, so i expected that they do use fuji products. i tried 2 8r prints there and when im about to pay (i was expecting it will be cheaper than fuji) they told me that there will be an additional fee and it became something like P60. then i looked at the back of the prints, no logo of fuji, it was just plain (its like an ordinary photo paper).

We have 2 kinds of products:

Instant Prints: You can do right in our branch (we use Inkjet printers) and there is no additional fee or no minimum for printing there (please let me know if they charged you anything else). We normally use inkjet printers and Veco photopaper.

PND (Print and Deliver): Your files are sent to our Central Lab in Pasay (there we have 4 Fuji Frontier Minilabs and One Noritsu Minilab) Your prints are printed during the night shift and delivered next day anywhere in the Philippines.

Like I said pls let me know if they charged you anything extra for the instant prints since they are NOT supposed to charge you anything. if you want me to reprint your files in our frontier minilabs just email me the files. Ill print them and have them delivered to your house ASAP.

Thanks

Hi sir Miguel! I was wondering if I need to set some settings on my computer before sending them to DigiPrintPro outlet for printing so that I can attain the image quality that I want? Currently, I calibrated my screen using Spyder2 Express.

You will need to use the ICC profiles from DigiPrint to softproof your images specifically for the paper of your choice (i.e. Kodak Metallic, Kodak Matte, Fuji Glossy, etc.).

The digital files will have to be converted to the ICC profile prior to sending to DigiPrint.

No need to embed/assign/tag the ICC profiles in this case. The one hour lab machine doesn't recognize it anyway :D

Cheers!

@ Aldrich,

I have been using Digitprint Pro for a while now and I can guarantee you that they have impeccable service. Their prints pass my qualifications of a great print. I am very finicky and I know when a print is bad or great. There are several components involved to get that perfect print though.

1. Files----- Garbage in, garbage out. If your image quality is bad, dont expect a miracle from the printer and have a heavenly image....it just wont happen.

2. ICC profiles- You must use the correct profile so what you see is what they will print

3. To see what they see, your monitor must be properly calibrated. I your rose looks really red on your monitor but when you print it comes out magenta, that may mean that your rose is really magenta but your monitor is fooling you.

I hope that these tips may help you the next time you print your image.

Hi Sir! I haven't tried getting my prints done in Digiprint. If I want my prints on Fujicolor Crystal Archive Paper, which branch do I go to? What do I specifically tell the staff?

What are the complete services offered to Digiprint Pro members, and are these available in all Digiprint branches?

Digiprint has a centralized lab in Pasay. You can drop off your files at any of the Digiprint branches and they will be sent to the main lab :D

Cheers!
