Very nice, Reyno. At first glance, it looks similar to our Black-winged Stilt. I presume you captured this in the US? Which area?

Thanks Romy. The photo was taken at Merritt Island National Wildlife Refuge not far from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida. There's not much going on at the reserve but come fall, migratory birds from the north will come down and stay till spring.

Can't wait for the arrival of the migrants here in our islands too.

Some of them are scheduled to come in late July. But their plumage and emaciated bodies (due to the long flight from the north) won't be photogenic until about late August...:)
